MÖTLEY CRÜE will be the subject of "The Story Of Mötley Crüe", a one-hour special set to air on MuchMoreMusic on Friday, August 29 at 9:00 p.m. "In this all-new edition, watch MÖTLEY CRÜE rule the '80s with raucous hair-metal anthems such as 'Shout at the Devil', only to evaporate into 'has-been' oblivion due to destructive addictions and personal dramas," reads the show synopsis. "After a successful late-'90s reunion tour and best-selling book, these raunchy L.A.-based rockers now teeter on the brink of extinction, or a new direction. Features an all-new exclusive interview with frontman Vince Neil and loads of archival footage."

In related news, MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx attended the X Games on Friday (August 15) to hand out a few skateboarding awards. "I ran into [former GUNS N' ROSES guitarist] Gilby Clarke and [BRIDES OF DESTRUCTION bandmate] Tracii Guns," Sixx writes on CRÜE's web site. "They gave me the halfpipe… That fucker is huge… But we have 50 acres… so… party at the Sixxes..."

The debut BRIDES OF DESTRUCTION album — featuring Sixx and Guns alongside vocalist London LeGrand, guitarist/vocalist John Corabi (ex-MÖTLEY CRÜE, UNION),and drummers Scot Coogan (ex-PAUL GILBERT, ONI LOGAN/ROWAN ROBERTSON, SINÉAD O'CONNOR) and Kris Kohls (ADEMA) — is currently being mixed by Steve Thompson (KORN, METALLICA, GUNS N' ROSES) for a late 2003 release through Universal Records in Japan. "[It's] bad-ass," says Sixx. "Balls to the walls.....it sounds insane... There's a few cool peeps on the album (surprise)."
